Hi! I've got three kittens, 2 months old. I've made them beds in front of our front door, but two of them are always scared away when someone is going outside/inside, so I decided to change the location and make them not to sleep in front of our door, but for them to have a "special" place, like a kitten castle. Just below our doorstep, right next to the basement, I have made them a nice house-shelter of a big box (cardboard) , with a few windows and door big enough for them to enter, and around another two very basic cardboard shelters with blankets. Did I do good? There is one more shelter-tent next to the front door steps in our garden, but they have not step a foot there, maybe it's because it is too small or I don't know.

While I am at it,, anyone has any idea how to tame the two kittens? They always run away from me and other people. But they are always running around me when they are hungry, waiting for food. That's why I named him Zorro, because he runs like hell and plays like crazy, right on Zorro! :D

If you have any suggestions please. By the way, they are outdoor kittens, from a stray, more of an unowned cat. She comes on our balcony sometimes , likes to cuddle and pet, just for the food.

They are very young to be allowed outside at all. Is there any way you can move them inside until they are older? It's very dangerous!

Are they spayed, neutered, and fully vaccinated?

Try to catch them when they come up to you for food and bring them inside. Your only chance to tame them is to bring them inside where they can learn not to be afraid of humans. Once they are socialized, you'll be able to get them vaccinated and fixed.

Mama kitty needs spaying now too. Since she lets you pet her, you should be able to put her in a carrier. Hopefully, she's not pregnant again yet.

Give me your city and state and I will find a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for you! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

unfortunately they are not. I am leaving in two weeks away on studies, and my parents can't allow them inside. I haven't yet taken them to a vet, as I said two of them are very hard to catch. The that's not running, I am planning to take him to a vet for sure. As I said, they are by an unowned cat. I can't do none of them, neutering a kitten, sorry but not in my book. I can't do that to them, I have to let them leave a happy life together while they still can. If I will be able to take them with me later on, if my vet suggests it, I would do it.

Update: I checked, they didn't want to go there, but took the gentle one, put him in the shelter, he fell asleep, later on his brothers joined him. They are so cute together, sleeping together, and all day playing together. Tough brothers love.

But on taming the two kittens, I guess they need time. I will come back for Christmas, so I hope to see them getting better and and more clever :)

They will lead a much happier life if they are neutered. Otherwise, they will quite literally be at risk to fight to the death. What is your concern?

It's a shame, as they will grow up feral and have fleas and worms. They will either begin tom catting around or become pregnant and have more kittens, as will mom. It's a tough, unhealthy lifestyle for cats.

Your other alternative is simply to TNR them - trap, neuter (or spay), and release back into the yard. This could be done before you leave at a clinic. The cats will be much better off!

I'm happy to find a low-cost clinic for you!

Especially if you have easy access to a vet, please do spay and neuter! It really will make a tremendous difference.

And if you have questions about the procedure we're happy to answer! What is your concern?
