So, apparently I was mistaken about Connor and Murphy having no fear. Connor still hasn't seemed afraid of anything - ever. John made some French fries in the oven and brought me a plate of them. Murphy got all startled and did that scared jumpy thing cats do and ran off to the other room. He wouldn't come back until the fries were gone.
He's not afraid of a cat carrier. Or the neighbor's German shepherd. Fireworks and thunderstorms don't even register with him. He doesn't care about a building being demolished next door and the vacuum makes him yawn. But French fries terrify him. Odd.
