Ever have a streak of breaking things, expensive things, of course?

Since January (except for the car, the rest was this past MONTH!), I've had to buy:

1.  Had to buy a new recliner

2.  New sofa (the humidity during the recent heat waves ruined it)

3.  Car

4. Heating/air conditioning system (see also "sofa", above!)

5. This weekend: a new washer and drier. Admittedly, they were 11 years-old.

6. Today: broke DH's electric griddle, which is only 9 months-old (it fell off a shelf where I had just put it); a wineglass that we used for the bride/groom toast at our wedding 12 years ago next month; I stored an item  in the vanity in the downstairs bath, which leaned against the water pipe's valve, and it made water rush out into the vanity; and something else I just can't remember!  All by 10:00 AM!

Ugh. I'm sorry. :hugs:

Unfortunately I am no stranger to this and have definitely had problems like that before.

That sounds familiar. One time we lost several major appliances within a few weeks (dishwasher, fridge, washer and stove). I think there's a built-in "self-destruct mechanism".

I think there is an unwritten law of the universe that bad things happen in 3's or multiple of 3's...

It should be over for you; @MargeCat, you have had your multiple of 3....
