Please help from at all possible!

My 1-year-old cat is very ill.

Yesterday he threw up. I didn't think much of it...but then in afternoon I found him very lethargic. I picked him up and he felt stiff, didn't try to get down, and had a twitch in his face and back legs. I took him to emergency vet and after a 2.5 hour wait, we were finally seen. Unfortunately… I quickly realized there was no way I would be able to afford treatment there. The vet said that his symptoms could go in multiple directions and recommended we start with abdominal x-rays and a full blood panel.... The price for that plus IV fluids was $700. She said that no matter what the outcome, they would probably want to keep him at least overnight and that if he had a blockage or anything, he would need surgery. She implied that my bill would probably end up being in the mid to high thousands.

There's no way I could do that… It's absolutely impossible. The vet was very very understanding about my financial restraints. In the end, we gave him subcutaneous fluids and I brought him home with directions to monitor him closely and keep him separated from my other cat. If he showed signs of serious discomfort, I was to bring him back and euthanize him since I can't afford treatment there. I am praying that he will make it until my vet is opened and I am praying that my vet is open tomorrow and not closed because of the holiday.

Today, he is still very lethargic… He basically has not moved from his bed. If I come in and pet him he will close his eyes and seems to enjoy the attention. He has no interest in food and I have not seen him drink water since last night. He did pee in his litter box which I've closed into the laundry room with him but has not pooped.

I know that there's probably not much I can do at home… But is there anything, any possible thing I can do until tomorrow? If it was a blockage, is there anything I can give them to try to help him pass it? The other thing the vet mentioned www something kidney related because one kidney is smaller than the other and smaller than she would expect it to be ... She said if it was his kidney that it would be his demise.

Please, any help is appreciated. But please do not attack me for not being unable to afford the emergency vet care... I am a responsible pet owner and my pets to go to the vet… I just had $1000 surgery for my husband's dog. I really do do my best. But I do also have limitations and unfortunately, the high prices at the emergency vet is too much for me.

Please, any advice, and all prayers are very much appreciated.
