My 3 year old cat, Hallie, was a barn cat with three other cats up. We had a bad storm and flooding and the barn door blew open and all the cats got out and Hallie was the only one that survived. She had been out for a few days before she was found. Once I found her I put her back in the barn but she got out 2 more times so on August 5th I brought her inside and she is now an indoor only kitty. We live in the country so there are stray cats wandering. About a week ago I noticed her gaining a bit of a belly and she is eating nonstop, way more than she usually eats, her belly is hard, her nipples are bigger, she is going to the bathroom alot, and is demanding attention and meowing constantly. Does it sound like she is pregnant? If so, how far along? I'm trying to figure out how to attach pics...

From the way you've described her belly and actions it sou ds like it but it's so hard to give a concrete yes or no with out photos.

For attachments there's a photo icon above the box for typing your comment. Click that and follow the promts. If you're on a pho e or mobile device and it's saying that you can't do it because od low memory, send the picture to your own email or text it to someone and have them text it back then download it and attach it that way. For some reason that's what my phone does lol.

She sounds pregnant to me! Nipples pink up at day 21, and bellies tend to show around 5 weeks. Cat pregnancy runs 65-68 days, so she probably has another 4 weeks to go. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yep. She pregnant lol. I'd say around 5-6 weeks judging by the size of her nipples and belly. Congrats in the new family members. She's right around the same length along as my girl.

Well she is getting bigger and is acting super grouchy with my other cat and keeps going after him. They have never liked each other but now she is fighting him. Normally I wouldn't intervene but he is old and I rescued him from a shelter a few months ago and doesn't defend himself so I've squirted Hallie with a squirt bottle whenever she goes after him. He is declawed (he was declawed before I got him) and Hallie has her claws so I'm worried about him getting hurt.

She is feeling territorial due to her unborn kittens. This is common. Squirting her with water will not stop her. He may be old, but as a pregnant cat she does not perceive that. She just views him as a threat. Keep them separated now and for the foreseeable future so she does not harm him.

For the past several minutes she has been wandering and crying and laying down and getting up and moving somewhere else and laying down and getting back up. And now she is digging around in her nesting box. Is she closer to birth than I thought?? I thought I had at least 3 weeks to go! Not sure when she mated but the latest it could have been was August 5th, but it could have been awhile before that.

It's possible that she is laboring. It could also be pre-labor. Have you seen any vaginal discharge or contractions in her belly that look like ripples? Is her milk coming in?

Okay well if you haven't seen any movement and the no leaking of any kind she probably has a bit left. Between 1-3 weeks (i know it's quite a large window but without exact dates and with the fact that every cat is different, it's the best i can do guess wise lol).

Hallie is extremely restless and irritable. When I pet her anywhere but her head she bites me. And she's being rotten to my other cat and attacking him. She also is walking slightly hunched over at times.

Is all this normal??
