Hey Everyone;

My 4 month old kitten Scooby has diarrhea. He was fine yesterday but I noticed it this morning. Hes active and playing like normal, and has not had any food changes, and I change his water daily, and his liter box twice daily (not because it fills up but just cause i want to keep it fresh for him). I also keep my kitchen beyond super clean so when I am not home, he cannot get into anything that is potentially toxic. I don't know if he maybe ate a bug such as a fly or spider or what but besides the runs he acting completely normal and healthy.

Any thoughts?

Seems odd since absolutely nothing has changed.
  I"m guessing since he IS a kitten and very curious at that age, he managed to get into something, or as you said, ate a bug that disagreed with him.  You might try feeding him some yogurt...plain would be best, but with bruit is ok, just no artificial sweeteners.  Yogurt has live cultures so is a natural probiotic.  It might help.  If it continues or is pretty bad, then you might try something else, like ForteFlora aprinkled on his food.  Funny, I never used to advise that until my own cat got diarrhea after his dental and our Vet suggested it.  It worked

My kitten was 4,5 months and his bowel movements were completely fine up to about 2 weeks ago when he got diarrhea overnight. I tried everything and when I took him to the vet, he was diagnosed with giardia. His symptoms were diarrhea and he vomited a couple of times during a week's time, but otherwise he was active and playful, kept eating and drinking well. Maybe that's something you want to look into. He's having a nasty reaction to the antibiotics though. Hopefully we'll pull through soon.
