I found this on my cats skin yesterday. It has grown in size a bit. She has never had any health problems and has always been an inside cat besides the occasional jumping out of an open window which she is never outside for more than a couole of minutes.. i dont have any money until thursday to take her to a vet so i was wondering if anyone knew what this might be and if she will be okay. I am very worried :(

It's hard to tell from a picture, but that doesn't look good especially if you said it's growing in size.

Have you noticed your her scratching that area?  it looks like it's under her right side of chin?

I'm at a loss and I always suggest a vets visit.

Perhaps another member will be able to lend some ideas and advice.

How is she otherwise.  Does it seem as if she's in pain?  Also, you said you don't have money for a vets visit until Thursday, but can your vet see you earlier in the week and arrange for payment Thursday?

That looks like an open sore, and I'm not sure she should wait.

May I ask her name and age.

2Cats4everLoved is right, bring her in 1st and arrange payment later.

From the look of it, the wound does not look good though your kitty is not scratching it. Hopefully it's not some kind of bacteria attacking it since it's an ope wound and hope it dosen't get infected.

If she's acting completely normal, and IS EATING and bathroom habits have not changed.  No need to panic and go to emergency.

Lets see what suggestion the more experienced members have before you go to an emergency.

Just throwing this idea out there, but is there a local no-kill shelter with a vet who may be able to take your case?

One more question, Have you changed her foods lately or any new toys, catnip or anything that may be causing an allergic reaction?

Please take it from me...  I just lost my baby,"kitty" back in June after 13 years.  And if I learned one thing, that is - if a cat is very sick they will show signs.  And the biggest thing, they pick up on your energy, please try and stay calm for your girls sake.  If she notices you are nervous, it could potentially stress her out.

Mind you this is based on my own experiences.

Keep us posted.

Wound looks raw. Afraid that your kitty will start scratching. That won't be good because germs will be passed from paw to wound.
