I was really excited when I found a couple of tins of a new product at Pet-O today. I know Feline Natural has a line of freeze dried food but I had no idea this existed. The ingredient list looked great. There are two types:
Chicken and Venison, the ingredients looked really impressibe and the Minimum Crude Protein: 10.4%, Minimum Crude Fat: 3.3%...
and;
Chicken and Lamb. I've just noticed that it has only Minimum Crude Protein: 6.8%, Minimum Crude Fat: 4.4%...
This is the ingredient list: Chicken, Lamb Heart, Lamb Kidney, Lamb Liver, Lamb Blood, Flaxseed Flakes, New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel (Perna Canaliculus), Dried Kelp, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Proteinate, Canola Oil, Manganese Proteinate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid. Water added for processing.
Why would the Chicken and Lamb product only have 6.8% protein when it is just meat? Is the freeze dried version any different (other than being raw when this one is cooked) or do you just have to feed your cat double? I'm very confused (and also a vegetarian so please go easy on me).
