My cat is 4 months old and weighs 8 lb. Isnt that a little on the big side? Been wormed since 2 weeks old and every 2 weeks since and he is fixed. I took in a shelter cat who was pregnant and I didn't know it. I kept all the kittens had them fixed and had the mommy fixed. The mother is a Torti. No idea about the dad. All 4 kittens are completely different. Both males are 8lb. One a little larger as for oz. females are 7lbs. Mother is 10. I've had cats before but this cat was born big and I havent seen any like this. I'll attach a pic. What do you all think as far as breed and if this seems big or what? You can see a little of 2 of the 4 kittens in this pic.

jamonday,

8 lbs for this age and for a male cat is within range. Males are heavier than females.
Just watch their diet and give them lots of exercises as they are neutered.
Is your cat's legs long? If yes, they'll be lanky.
Your kitty looks like s DSH Mackerel Tabby.
My boy January is also same as your kitty. He's almost 9 months and he weighs 11 lbs. ;)

My male cat was about 8 lbs when he was 5 months old.  I wouldn't be too concerned about it now, but as he gets about 9 or 10 mos old, you can worry about it.  My cat eventually grew into his weight and is now a healthy size and weight.
