So while I was at the vet yesterday they had a female cat up for adoption. I talked it over with my roommates and they are fine with getting her. I just want to be prepared for stuff that might happen when I bring her home.

How old is she and how old are they?

Are you prepared for some major introduction techniques?

They have a 2 yr old or at 10 yr old. My boys are 1 yr and the other 2 are 5 yr old.

That is a great article.

I'm really divided on this as it would be lovely to see the older cat find a home, but it may be harder for her.   Either way, the introductions are so important.

I know we struggle with that issue too but we went with the 1yr old she just seemed like a better fit. We figured a old cat would like a nice quite home and with 2 other roommates and three cats our house is anything but quite.
