Im trying to figure out if my cat is pregnant, she has been an inside and outside cat but has never been pregnant before, this would be the first time and she is ushally a very slender cat but I noticed the sides of her belly seem to bulging out ,as far as I can remeber ive never really noticed her nipples until a few days ago because they were puffy a bit, I dont want to waste money at the vet.

She may very well be pregnant.  It had to happen at some point, since she is not spayed,  Her nipples do look "pregnantish."  This I will tell you, if she isn't now, she will be, and will continue to get that way until she is spayed.  This should be done ASAP for several reasons,  Too many unwanted cats and kittens are euthanized each year in this country NOT to spay, and the sooner she IS spayed, the less chance she will have of developing several severe health issues, including cancers, later.

Keep us updated, and a full body photo will help.  If she is, we'll talk you through it if you need us to, but regardless, spay as soon as you can.  She can get pregnant again almost immediately after giving birth.

I noticed that she has what feels like a lump in her lower abdomen right infornt of her hind legs and you can see her stomach bulging on each side as well. she doesnt like to sit still for photos so this is the best I can do, I also noticed she is very very affectionate (a tad more than usual)

Welcome to TCS!  How old is your cat?  Are the lumps you mentioned moving?  The nipples look like they belong to a pregnant cat.

Here is a little light reading for you

[article="31379"]Pregnant Cat What To Prepare For The Birth[/article]    At least get the basics once you are sure; KMR, needleless syringe 1 -2 ml, small scale.

[article="31496"]How Do I Know When My Cat Will Give Birth[/article]   Skip taking her temp.  It's unreliable.

If she isn't pregnant, a vet visit is in order.  She could have pyometria, an infection in the uterus.  Even vets have misdiagnosed this as pregnancy.  Watch for yellowish pus discharge.

I think you are going to have kittens...or, rather, your cat is
.  As @Handsome Kitty said, if you notice any pus or discharge, this is an infection, and she needs to get to the vet.  AND start saving your pennies for that spay!

After the kittens are born if she is pregnant were gonna get her spayed, she is about 2 years old and I dont think the lump is moving but that could be due to it being to early if she is pregnant,I think she may be about 4/5 weeks pregnant if she is.

Keep us posted.   If she is pregnant, you'll want to keep her in during the last of it.  You don't want kittens being born outside, subject to weather and predators and a gazillion parasites.  Make sure mama is flea-free before the babies are born.  They will get on the kittens, and can cause severe anemia, and even death.  Oh, and we'll be wanting pictures if there are kittens!  We're fools for kittens around here.

She will most definitely be inside from now on so that the kittens will be safe and im thinking she might be farther along than I thought because I can see something moving when she is laying down. She is a very small cat ushally so maybe thats why she doesnt look as big

Such a beautiful tortie.  There are several of us here who are rampant tortie fans.  I'm one, as you can tell by my profile photo!  If you're right, she may be having a very small litter, which is a good thing,

I'll bet that she's going to have some very pretty kittens! I wonder how many of them will look like her? I fostered a pregnant calico this year. She had five babies and one of them was a calico.

It must have been a contraction.  If precontraction or beginning for real difficult to know...   Has she dropped?  Ie seems suddenly less big?  From a full size senior basketball into a mere american fotball ball??

She is doing fine, she meows a little every now and then, her stomach has been low for a few days but I can see the kittens moving like crazy still.
