So very glad you got some sleep. We will help find you a person who will love Tera. She will do just fine. I am beyond happy that you are taking the boys. I can't wait to see what kind of tricks and games your girls will show the boys

A quick story..many years ago..2003..Floey was the big cat. Pumpkin face was about 3 months old. Floey taught her how to run and jump on the throw rug and slam into the wall/cabinets. Floey taught pumps how to bat mice around. She spent many days playing with Pumps teaching her how to be a pest..so much so that for about 4 months Pumps used to knock anything on the counters onto the floor. pens, change..etc etc.

The only way I can deep sleep is if they are crated. Then I know the worst that can happen is Mook can chainsaw though the door and they'll just be able to bat/slap and growl. I fell asleep on the sofa yesterday morning and hubs said he was shaking me and talking and I never even moved.

Honeybee didn't sleep on me last night

it was sticky hot. Slept with a thin sheet. I HATE this hot yucky air. I sure wish we could move to Canada or upper maine away from the city folk and smoggy air from all the cars..I really miss our paradise in Belfast Me..if I had money I would go move in a tiny shack up there and suck it up. I just getting so cranky lately with people. At least there are no people playing that silly game pokego or whatever the heck its called..and don't want people on my property...good thing my neighbors all respect eachother and stay off each other's lawns.

I live in Portland, Oregon but am from Maine....I'm going to Maine for vacation tomorrow...can't wait!!

So today is thankfully the last day that the babies will have to be crated with mom part of the day. Last night they were climbing up the door and sticking their paws though at me. I'd swear they were older but I know within 12 hours of when these kits were born. They are doing mini zooms and both were trying to jump last night. Both take food off my finger. They play with each other actively and with some toys.

Tera has gained weight and while still very protective spends more time out of the nest playing herself and window gazing. The babies both react to us and love to be held now. The great thing here is I can preserve the nest for a while after Tera goes to the rescue. I'll send her with a new fluffy bed so that she doesn't have to smell her kits. I'm guessing she'll get spayed pretty quick. Mercy has been playing nonstop for the last 5 hours. Hopefully they won't turn themselves to butter.

I'm just so happy for this little family. Tera will find HER person, and rule her new home with an iron paw, while being adored, Mook with get some peace and quiet, and Mercy will have playmates (allowing Mook to get peace and quiet). YOU, on the other hand, are going to go quietly nuts until the meatballs grow into full sized hamburgers.

I stood there last night watching the little bugger jump and get their hind legs off the ground and knew that insanity is in my future.

Tera is a GORGEOUS little beauty and I pray she finds the loving forever home she so deserves when the time is right. As for conflicts, we're old hands and paws at those. It took our Mainey man Sammi about 1 year to fully adjust to being part of this large furmily after we adopted him at 14 -- he had been an only cat all his life, and was very dominant. But as time went by, he became more and more laid-back, and I didn't have to pry him and Calo, our beloved dominant male, apart with a broomstick any more. We were determined to make it work, because my policy is adoption is for LIFE. So, that's our story.

No you don't. You've done a fabulous job with this little family. It's fantastic that the little ones will remain together. As for Tera, because of the kindness, love and generosity you've shown this sweet girl, she will without a doubt be snatched up immediately. Tera has shown how loving she is, not only to her babies, but the affection she's shown you speaks for itself. It's because of you, that she is healthy, and most important ALIVE.

I think Tera will find humans who will see her for the loving gal she is. I pray she's spoiled and rules the house like a true princess.

Again, you've done wonders for this little family who weeks ago, didn't stand a chance. Please don't feel bad about making this tough decision, as we all know it's best for everyone involved. The last thing any of us want is to make Mook or Mercy uncomfortable in their own home.

Hats off to you my friend. This has been a fantastic, inspirational "Cat's Tail" and I look forward reading more chapters

I hope they stay in touch. I still get a New Year's card from the family that adopted one of the feral kittens I took in a few years ago. Some of the others were adopted through a rescue in Tokyo, so I can see updates on their homepage whenever they post.

It's good to know they're doing well.

I'm going to miss Tera, but I know I'm going to enjoy watching her little meat balls grow.

We're all rooting for you. I know this is going to be a tough one for you and your hubby, and while we all know it's best for all involved, it's still a weepy eyed situation, no matter how you slice the pie.

Just know we are all in awe of what you've done for this little family and we are here to support you ALWAYS!!!
