Good for Mercy!  Having dealt with two human teenagers, and Hekitty, come to think of it, and remembering all of it all to well...I'll pray for ALL of the adults in the  house!  Although they are SO funny along with the shenanigans that you can help but laugh as you sweep up that figurine!

Baby Daddy, perhaps?  But, no, no booty calls!   It's funny, but when I was coming up, NOBODY neutered male animals, or it was very rare.  LOTS of owners of females of all species hauled their girls off for very expensive, invasive surgery, but the males were left intact.  Dunno why it never occurred to them that one neutered male would protect any number of females, although I think it has something to do with the fact that the owners of the males could just walk away from it without a thought.  Our female dog, Kimberly Anne, was spayed, but Gray, our tom cat was NOT.  That was the norm in the late 50's and early 60's.
I would make a guess that 100% baby daddy. The resemblance to Frog was spot on...hehe pun intended and if not daddy direct relation. Toad is more her mama's looks. But Frog is bigger rounder. You don't see that Siamese look that Tera had in her at all.  They have more free spay and neuter clinics here along with working with the Zimmer foundation that anyone who has an intact cat is just negligent.

I just don't get the not neutering.  I feel guilty, sometimes, about Gray, but those were very different times, and I was a child, but still...that said, I have a wealth of stories about that tom cat, up to and including the man demanding kitten support, the Blue Bobcat strain that he started in Northwest Florida, and his run-ins with the neighborhood dogs and alligators (he came out on top of every one!).

Yes well then. I guess I'll wait till the girls are spayed to add them to the insurance. It doesn't cover spays anyway and I guess having an unaltered 17 month old kitten is evil.  I try not to do anything during the holidays. People have brain fog. The policy I have is basic for sudden illness or injury. We have a budget for yearly health visits.

Kittens are just the prelude to a lifetime with a cat.
LOL...that reminded me of a couplet by my favorite "silly" poet of all times, Ogden Nash, who LOVED to play with words.  He wrote,

"The problem with a kitten is that

  Eventually it becomes a cat!"

Now me, as cute as kittens are, I love the grace and dignity ("the WHAT?" she squawked) of mature cats.  Maybe it is growing old with Hekitty that is doing it.  Actually, there is no age of cat that I don't enjoy for itself!

We're enjoying this time with the babies. But eternally , no thank you. Right now all of them have turkey feathers. Big quills.

It really is.  You're getting VERY good with that camera!

I got locked out of TCS by some computer glitch yesterday...I was having WITHDRAWALS!  Dunno what happened, but it let me back in in time to post my Wednesday Question of the Day!

It seems like yesterday that she was just a tiny scrap herself, and here she is, all ready to mother and teach these little girls!  I'm feeling very old today!

At 4 months the kits are more than double Mercy's weight when she came home. In fact Frog is almost triple Mercy's 4 month weight.
