Just 2 weeks old here. Ears still folded up.
Margd I was so scared to look every morning for fear I would lose one of them. We have celebrated every little milestone with them. I have to take Mercy in for her 3 year shots the first part of January and then Frog and Toad need to go in for a spay.Just 2 weeks old here. Ears still folded up.
Your devotion and sleepless nights have a lot to do with why they made it through early kittenhood. [emoji]128077[/emoji] I had a rather scary moment when I first read about Mercy and her upcoming shot. I read it to be that she was 3 years old and suddenly I honestly didn't know what I'd been doing for the last year and a half!

What a lovely photo of our beautiful girl! Are you enjoying the new camera?Toad^
Thank you. And it's done.
Heh heh. http://www.thecatsite.com/a/becoming-a-tcs-supporter-through-a-paid-membership No excuses now!
I just got my first non-phone digital camera this last year and I'm having a wonderful time with it. There is so much it can do. What really blows me away is that the last camera I bought cost three times as much and did about 10% as much.
I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming masterpieces from your new toy. Or tool, as I like to think of it.
No, I don't have a thread. I don't know why not - right after I found Chula and Paul through this site would have been a great time to start one. I have a ton of photos on my profile page but I took them with my cell phone so there are not that many examples taken with the Nikon. But the picture quality is terrific - I just love it.
Thank you. And it's done.
I plan on taking the camera with me the next time we go someplace fun. Santa Fe. The mountains or just that nice drive on old 66. I think of it as painting with my eyes. It would be nice to see your photos do you have a thread ?
Thank You. Despite some of my gripes the beauty has always struck me.

I totally understand "painting with your eyes." That describes the feeling of capturing moments of beauty or weirdness or cuteness or whatever perfectly!
Being in New Mexico, you have an endless choice of dramatically beautiful scenery. I'm jealous. I went to Albuquerque during a work conference once and rented a car so I could leave the city and see the scenery - what a stunningly beautiful state! Maryland is beautiful but it doesn't hold a candle to New Mexico. (IMO)

I hope you share those photos, as well! You do a wonderful job with your camera.

She loves here babies although I think they are going to be bigger than her in short order.
Lovely photos. In the second one, Mercy looks a bit puzzled "How did this happen to me?" but by the third, she is happy and content. So sweet!
This is the stray that I think has been living here for some time. I coaxed her out and got her to eat a few weeks ago and then noticed she was full of kittens. My first instinct was to simply spay her. This has been a long sad year I couldn't do it. Two days ago Tera gave birth to 6 kittens. I finally found them and put her and the babies in the big crate , it's outside. 4 of the babies were stuck together. They seemed not well formed and I couldn't get them apart. Neither could mom. The kind people at the animals shelter sent them on ahead to join all the other little baby kitties that never get a chance to live. So the plan is to let them stay with mama for at least 4 weeks before bringing them in and then getting Tera fixed. I hope to find her a home but she's welcome to my yard and I'll build her a safe haven. Mook is simply NOT going to tolerate this cat inside.
What a wonderful thread. Makes me really happy. Mercy looks exactly like an injured cat I have been posting about and it is a good thing to see a version of her happy and safe. You rock!
Mercy hugging one of her babies, Toad.
I'll rock when Tera has her forever home. She is doing well at the rescue and loved and played with but it's not the same as having her own.

They are huge. 16 weeks now. Which of course is the lesson a kitten is for a few minutes but a cat is forever. A one or two year old cat is still a baby. Mercy is just over a year old and she's still a kit but without a lot of the antics that drive so many people crazy. These babies are angels but they're still little wrecking balls. Something for anyone to think about when adopting.
YAY!!!!! I've been waiting for more pictures. Love these. Mercy is too much, LOL. How big they've grown in a few days. WOW!
How is Mook doing?
I can't wait to see where Tera ends up, she's going to be one spoiled kitty.
Thanks for this last bunch of pics. Always puts a smile on my face and warm feeling in my heart.
