I was using the dusting attachment this morning and our boy, Blaze, would not quit attacking it, so I got him with it (knowing that he's not scared of such things) and he layed down and rolled from one side to the other enjoying it and attacking it and just having a great time, so that will come in handy now that they are shedding more.
I can't do it to our female though, because she's too jumpy.
Anyone else do this?

Nope! Can't say that my crew does that! 3 of mine are scared to death of the vacuum and the other 2 are just indifferent.

Felixia lets me vacuum her - she loves it! And she can hear just fine (I thought at first that a cat had to be deaf to let you vacuum it). All the other cats vanish when the vacuum cleaner is turned on, though.

My girls hate the sound. They don't mind it when it is off but once I turn on the switch it's cat mayhem!

I have heard of cats and dogs who liked having their fur vacuumed, but none of mine was ever interested in the prospect -- start a vacuum cleaner and they make themselves scarce. Even the Dust Buster freaks them out, though they don't actually leave when it's in use -- just keep a verrry wary eye on it.

I wish Em would let me vacuum him. But alas he is part of the population that is scared of the vacuum.

After I brush him I run my hand down him a few times and dust buster the hair from my hand....but Em runs away.

Rosie runs a mile when she sees the vacuum coming out!.

But i have polished floor boards down stairs, so i use a swiffer on them(anti static duster on a long handle) and she goes hyper!!, she loves it!!

I wish that I could vacuum Buddy. Whenever the vacuum monster comes out, Opie and Rowdy dive under the bed and Buddy watches from a safe perch.

DH used to vaccuum his dog. They had to train her, I guess. Lily is quite frightened of the vaccuum though.

I have two vacuums - one of the vacs all three girls love to watch and the other vac (quieter one) Iggy goes running so fast that she scares me!
That's the one I call the MONSTER. Lucy and Zoey think it's a toy!

I think Saki enjoys the vaccum LOL! He stands there and just watches me.. he is fascinated. Though when its turned off and just sitting there he likes to "bap! bap!" it with his paw. Zoey will usually go into the bedroom on the window sill to escape the mean old vacumm.

LOL! I've never heard of any cat enjoying being vacuumed, but go figure! I thought they didn't like the air sucking if they weren't afraid of the noise. (That's the case with Flowerbelle who is deaf). I can't stop chuckling about that one! We use the sticky lint-roller on the kitties - they think they're getting brushed! But boy do we go through those rolls of tape when we do that!

OMG can you imagine how many rolls I'd go through with all that thick long fur here in my house!?!
