That's not fair! Such a sweet kitten....I am so sorry for this loss. I hope L and P will make it. Scratch the brave L. She's such a sweet girl.
Usually don't force urself on her and just try saying in a calming pleasant voice "here kitty kitty", eventually she will realise you r friendly and trying to help out and will appreciate it especially if her kittens aren't afraid of u n playing with uSorry I should have been clearer. She didn't reach out and sniff, just smelt.
She's slightly more used to people being around because the person who found her feeds her colony, she was born there.
I spoke to the vet and if I can't clean her by Saturday she'll have to go in and be sedated.
She's tried out the sofa, windowsill, and this morning was sitting by the kittens. She's still terrified but I think she's twigged that as frightening as the situation is, we're not going to hurt her.
I know, born on the street, having her own litter, practically eviscerated by a dog and hours in surgery is a lot to deal with in 6-7 months.
Thanks. We're lucky that the weather is generally warm and sunny here, plus with so many volunteers and even the local council caring for them they don't do too badly, but it's never enough.Reading this thread made me very sad. Life on the "streets" is no place for any cat, let alone, a young mother and her kittens. Thank goodness they found their way to you. The position we humans continue to put animals in is obscene.
