I adopted her as a kitten from my friend, she's only 5mths old - her Mum is black and whie and we don't know about that Dad. I'm thinking a tabby, whatever she is - she is beautiful! I will say though, she has a stand-out fat tail! People comment on it! It doesn't change with mood to fat, it's just a chunky tail! Not sure if this a breed thing or just unique to her? Here are some photos, I don't have any of her chunky tail - the photos where you can see it she's very young - it's chunked up now! I will say, she's VERY vocal (which I'm chuffed about as love vocal cats!!) but she's such a loony little terror too!

Any help would be great thanks.

Looks like she is part ticked tabby, but I may be wrong as I don't really care much about breeds, a cat is a cat is a cat, they are all beautiful in their own way. Looks like you got lucky with such a gorgeous little girl, you should just be thrilled about her wonderful looks and personality. We have a cat with a short fat tail, and it isn't from inbreeding, she is short all over with a squishy face that we love. Other cats we have, have bent/shortened tails, likely from inbreeding, but we don't care, we love them all the same.

Hello
I just love her what a cutie. I adopted a kitten she is almost 11months. She looks quite a bit like yours possibly a cream tortoiseshell. They are little terrors. Very fun though. By the looks of her fur her back has that shape of markings like a turtle shell. If you google them it will answer her personality to give you an idea. Very vocal. Silly. Loves everyone but very stubborn. Attitude. Hope that helps. I can't sleep. Lolol.

Thanks everyone :) Yeah, she's beautiful - I am very lucky. But she's like an insane little kitty ninja - flying at me all the time :D She has just been spayed and she was soon flying around again!! The reason I asked was I was just interested, as her tail is so thick! And her wildness!! I know kittens are wild but many kitten/cat owners/vets have commented on this! I was thinking maybe her Dad was wild.

I love her face, she looks like she's wearing fancy black eyeliner! :D

I think her tail is fine. She has to grow into it. My little Revy has a tail that looks like a question mark. Kittens are active she's probably happy. Time to teach. Have fun :wavey:

She seems too young/small for being spayed already, I am glad she is OK. Both of you are lucky to have found each other at the perfect time, enjoy the little ninja, nothing beats a beautiful cat with a playful personality.

She's a lot bigger than in those photos - and I would never had a cat spayed who is too young/small. She was 5 months, lots of vets that I know will do it from 4mths but it depends on the cat and their size at that time. She is super eager to get outside and I spend every day struggling to stop her from escaping. After discussing with the vet, we decided to have her spayed now. The vet was more than happy to do so, with her size and personality. Op went really well and she literally sprung back to normal.

She is growing SO fast, but I swear her tail is growing at a faster rate than the rest of her ha

She seems to be a spotted tabby on her tabby parts.  So the father to demand divorce- and child care payment from is if you have a spotted tabby tom nearby.  Spotted tabby isnt THAT common, so you will surely easily find the culprit.

White could se get from momma, as momma does carry the white spot gene.

She is spotted for real, its not just broken mackerel.

Glad to hear that, sometimes it gets confusing when you see a kitten picture and then associate that with surgery. I am glad that was not the case, sorry if I seemed snappy as that was never the intent, just glad that no matter how big she was, she was obviously ready. Enjoy your ticked/spotted/markeral tabby dipped in refined sugar, she is gorgeous to a fault.

Ha no worries :) I used to be a vet nurse so would never have her spayed too early - plus I'd like to think a vet wouldn't either anyways. She has her second and final post op check tomorrow where they should say she's ready to go out. She is SO keen to get out there bless!

Any help and tips with this transition greatly appreciated thanks! I'm hoping she'll only venture in to the garden for a bit

Well we used to have our cats indoor/outdoor, but after a giant snake tried to eat our Bruce (Wayne) last year, we stopped letting them out at all. That was scary, but I fought the snake and saved Bruce from becoming poop. Anyway, you would be surprised at what some people will do, even ask on here. Many people have no clue, sadly, and do things that would make you cringe. They aren't trying to be bad purr-parents, they just don't know any better. That is why I asked about the age/size, clearly you know a lot more than I do as a vet nurse, so she is in great hands.

So far, all of our cats that come home from the clinic, do the same, jump right back into their old routine. For the ladies, I am amazed, it's like they don't feel any pain. When I had hernia surgery 20 years ago, I thought my stomach was going to split open and my insides become outsides. I layer in bed hugging a pillow for 2 weeks. So the cats are more manly than I.

Just let her do her thing, she won't do anything she isn't ready for. Sincerely, the kittykeepers.
