1. I was born and raised in the US but have lived in France, Japan, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, and now England for the last 8 years. Now a dual citizen 
2. I speak French and work part time as a translator.
3. I met my husband in Japan. He is English and grew up about 20 miles from where one of my ancestors lived in the 17th century. If the ancestor hadn't left England I might have grown up knowing my husband.

How cool. I volunteer as a translator for non-profit organizations online, Spanish to English.

1. I am deathly afraid of the dark. If the power were to go out in the middle of the night and I was alone, I'd probably have a heart attack from the panic.
2. I am intensely shy around people, to the point where many people who don't know me well think I'm rather snobby.
3. I have a B.A. in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Planning.
I'm not fond of needles (I'd never be able to have a tattoo), but I can do blood work when needed. When I was younger I worked as a kitchen slave at our local hospital. We had to have yearly blood work, chest x-rays, etc. My GF and I had our tests done at the same time. We sat there while giving blood. My GF was fine; she was watching the blood fill the tube. And then she said, "Wait. Wait. Is that my blood?" The nurse kinda looked at her and said, "Well, yeah, Deb, it is." She said, "That's what I thought!" and passed out cold.

1. I think fast, talk fast, and for a living I solve problems (hubby and some coworkers call me the Wolf--Pulp Fiction reference, ha!)

LOL. Recently re-watched Pulp Fiction for the umpteenth time. Brilliant movie.

With regard to the legalization of marijuana, I have no feelings one way or the other. Makes no difference to my life.

@Primula Yes! RD is one of my favorites too. I can't pass up a QT movie, except the sequels of From Dusk Til Dawn. I hate those. HAHA All the Kill Bill ones were on the other day, edited of course.

I can't believe I am just now seeing this thread!
3 things about me,
- I have written poetry since I was 12 or 13 yrs old. I currently have a count of 181 poems I have written, at 47 yrs old. (I started a poetry thread a few weeks ago, hoping for others writers to share as well).
- I am a little bit of a neat freak. I also like things to be clean & finished, then I can relax. Not in an OCD way, just like things in order. (After cleaning one of the biggest houses I clean, yesterday I came home & cleaned my house, & did 2 loads of laundry, so it would all be done for the weekend, & I can relax, make plans, or whatever!)
......& yes, I was exhausted! ....but it's all done!
- I started my own cleaning business 3 & 1/2 years ago, & have managed to have built up enough of a clientele to support myself. No employees, just me.

I'm a total neat freak too & cannot relax until all is spiffy. The New York Times had a great article once about this. It said that if your house is tidy everyone will also assume it is clean. So true.
