Bananas are my kryptonite. I hate everything about them. The smell, the taste, the texture. Everything. The only other food that repulses me as much is hard boiled eggs. I loathe them. The smell, the rubbery, slimy texture. They are so gross. DH used to love egg salad and now and then would ask me to make him some. I hated every second of it. Just looking at a deviled egg makes me gag.
I hear you about hard boiled eggs.  They make me gag as well.  Yuck.  Disgusting things.

1. I have been a certified Master Gardener since 1999.

2. Always been an animal lover, as a kid I would bring home injured animals and nurse them back to health

3.I try to always do something I have never done before on the major birthdays - although I am a bit behind with my 60th (I am 62). I am still trying to decide what it will be.

I'm not a fan of banana smell either.  I like them, but the odor sometimes makes me feel ill.

Indeed. Indeed it is.

You know, I think that's rather sad. That a name will just die out. I guess it happens often and we don't really think about it. But it's just kind of sad that the name won't be around, other than (maybe) in books or genealogy records.
Does it have to though? We live in a day and age when people use hyphenated names. Why is it that in 2016 we still all have to use a MAN'S last name? Why does a name become worthless when it's attached to a woman? I work for a company that handles government healthcare for children and I have noticed that some families will give some of their children the father's last name and some will take the mother's.

My fiance and I are taking each other's name to combine into a hyphenated one.  It was his idea, he wanted to be part of my name.

We both feel strongly about our own names, so it makes sense although will be a mouthful for everyone

I have a friend whose last name is unique. When you look on ancestry.com for her name, on the map it shows where each of her dad's siblings live and that's it! :lol3: Well, the name isn't very unique but I guess it's usually spelled differently.

And, my mom's maiden name has petered out in her family. Only one of her brothers had a son and he's sterile due to a hernia when he was a baby. If we were royals the house would die with this generation :tongue2:. But the whole last name patriarchal line thing is pretty dumb when you think about it anyway.

Hmm, about me. . .

1.) I grew up (from ages 6-15) in Japan on Navy bases. No I can't speak Japanese except for basic stuff like asking how much something costs or where the bathroom is :tongue2:. I know hiragana and katakana though. Not that I know what the hiragana means, but at least I know the alphabet! :D

2.) I was homeschooled/unschooled my whole life, except I went to the DODDS school for 3rd & 4th grades because that's when my baby brother was born.

3.) I have worked for USPS for almost 15 years . I just realized I've been at the same office for 10 years now. I feel old, haha. But hey, halfway to retirement!

1. I'm OCD

2. I didn't really know how to live or think for myself until I was 36.  The last 5 years have been an adventure.

3. I'm Canadian and despise the cold.  That's got to be an oxymoron of some sorts.

And I too believe that marijuana should be legal.

Nope, not allergic. I like it plain, on a spoon but there's something about the texture combination that is a turnoff for me. Let alone with jelly lol. It's weird, I know!
I understand the texture thing. My daughter will only eat 3 foods at the moment. Not weird.

Ha, yes, can't say what it is but I'll give you background.

Evidently, when my dad's family came over from Russia, when they arrived in Philadelphia, they were asked what their last name was.  As with many immigrants, they just wrote it down as they understood it so, the real name got *******ized by way of miscommunication and spelling.  My father's family were fairly small, his siblings didn't have a lot of kids and some, none at all.  There is less than a handful of male family members who will be able to carry the name forward.  The older family members are now well past the having kids stage. I sadly predict that within a generation the name will cease to exist :(
All of my children have my last name. With my first one it was because I wasn't married. Then I had my second and didn't want them to have different last names. When I had babies three and four my fiancee was cool with me giving them my name. His family and my mom didn't like it at all. Again it was I wanted all my kids with the same last name. Now it's even more important because my brother doesn't have kids and we don't know if he will. My sister is married and her kids has their dad's name. So to me it's important now that someone to carry on my dad's line. He passed away three years ago.

May I ask why you're afraid of water? I was very afraid of it until I turned 7 years old.
I am very afraid of drowning. I cannot put my head under the water for sure. I am very afraid of not being able to breathe.

Sorry to hear that. :( I couldn't live without snorkling though.

Being afraid sucks. . .I know this because I am terrified of needles.

You could not pay me to snorkel! As to being afraid of things, that's human nature. We'd all be dead if we didn't have some fears.

Wow, what kind of job is that?

Signing papers (like lease holdings, etc) for condos out on the beach and kicking people out when they abuse the contract. A couple of years after doing that job, I had to kick out someone that was smoking in one, well smoking pot to be exact. Got paid $350 for 1.5 hours of work before. ;)

Awe really? Snorkling is so much fun! You see all kinds of amazing things. . . you don't even have to go in the water deep. I've snorkeled before where my chest touched the ground. But I understand your fears.

I wouldn't do it because the oceans are filthy. Pollution, garbage and millions of creatures using it as their toilet. No thank you.

Lol. Most of our drinking water is recycled toilet water. The air is filthy too. Cars give off carbon monoxide - which will kill you. [emoji]128563[/emoji]

Getting back on topic I'll give 3 more traits.

1. I also am very impatient. Cannot rest until I have what I want or do what it is I am trying to do.
2. I love reading, walking, & watching movies.
3. I have been married 30 years - unfortunately, not very happily.
