Love and Loss

No one knows the feelings of love and loss more than I do I have lost so many purr babies that have gone to Rainbow Bridge and here are the names

Danny Boy (dsh) orange and white male (insulin over dose)

Peaches dark orange DLH female (diabetes wasn't responding after while to insulin treatment)

Jasper gray and black tabby (kidney failure)

Missy (bladder stones and complications)

Razzamatazz 11 month old bicolor ragdoll (FIP)

NorseStar Thoreau blue and white Norwegian Forest Cat ( being treated like a zoo animal in a cage cause of kidney disease)

The Cat Garden's Omari ruddy Somali (hyperthyroidism wasn't responding to one treatment after another)

Cashmere Mittens aka Mitty seal mitted ragdoll (cancer of the eye and inconvenience condemned to death)

Lucas dsh orange tabby (congenital heart disease that turned in heart failure)

Marge DMH gray and silver tabby (renal failure)

I'm so sorry you have lost so many, but I guess the older we get the more loss we will experience. We feed and take in the stray and feral cats around here, trying to make their lives a little easier , but so many have died due to cars and the distemper that ravaged our area last year it is truly heartbreaking. We have so many graves on our place and the little markers tug at my heart every day. You must remember you made the lives of the little ones entrusted to your care one that was full of love and concern for their well being. They all love you so very much for being there, you have a big heart that holds a lot of love for these little felines from heaven. They were all in your life for a reason, to give you love and happiness. You all needed each other and each and every one of them left you priceless memories and a piece of their heart when they left you. They are at peace now, they are all attached to you forever by the bond that was forged with every one of them.  Allow yourself to feel the love and gratitude they send you, you can comfort yourself, and them, with the beautiful memories you will always have of happier times. Celebrate that they were in your life, that you got to know each and every one of them, it would have been tragic to have never known them at all. The pain of loss can be overwhelming at times, try not to dwell on the pain of the past, but use your experiences to shape the future into one of hope and happiness. My heart goes out to you, I'll pray for you and each and every one of your precious angels, they deserve no less. Be proud of the fact that you made their lives one of love and happiness in a world that is scary and full of pain at times,  you will be blessed for hurting so bad from loving so much. Take care and know you can share your grief here with those who understand........ I can't say it any better than @Di and Bob.  You gave them love, care, compassion.  You made their worlds special.  So many cats never have the chance to meet someone like you.  You are a blessing and just do not realize.                             

Growing up on a farm I lost numerous fur babies when I was young.  I still remember all the most dear to me but it's the ones that I've had in my adult years that affect me the most.  Spice, who I lost due to Pyometra and Expo who got loose one day and I never found him.  I think the worst is when people say to me, it was just a cat why are you so upset?

I'm so sorry for your loss, it seems really hard and i can't even start to imagine how you feel

Be strong and keep moving forward ! 

That list crushes my heart, so many little lives. Bless you for loving  these beautiful little souls
