Someone told me I should I post for help. Well I am asking for help on feeding my kitten. She is healthy and active and is at 4lbs but she is still small. I first was feeding her 1 tbsp then 1/1/2 tbsp then 1.6 tbsp and then 2 tbsp. Cause her stomach is still growing she doesn't finish her food and she also gets 3/4 cup of dry kitten food. I have been altering flavors with her canned food. I would like to know what amount to feed her. Her stomach is too small for a 1/2,1/4, or 1/3 a small can

How many times a day do you offer her the canned food?

If she eats most of the 2 Tbsp serving of the wet food at a time then I would offer that amount several times a day.

It sounds like you are doing well recognizing that her ability to eat more at one sitting is changing. Do not worry about if you are feeding her too much as kittens need a lot of food to grow (as you already know I'm sure).

Hope this helps a little :)

How much does the kitten weigh now?  Is she still gaining?  If so you are doing everything right.

That sounds like a good feeding schedule. I agree with Handsome Kitty, that if she is gaining weight then you are doing it just right.

As far as how long to leave the wet food out... It depends. How long do you leave it down for her now? Does she seem to go back to the food after she initially eats it?

You will find a wealth of knowledge on the cat nutrition forum. Maybe the mods can move this thread so you can get maximum response from members and won't have to start a new thread.

What's your sweet kitty's name? We love pictures FYI :D

We also have a thread for "blue" kitties if you would also like to share your sweet kitty there!

If she weighs 4 pounds at 4 months old, then she is right at her target weight and is doing great with what you are feeding! [emoji]128077[/emoji]
