Do you mean behavior just before going into labor, or when they were in active labor?

For me, all deliveries and " signs" were different. Even the same cats had different signs before each labor. One didn't had any sign and suddenly started pushing as she was on my lab. The other had precontractions for days (she made a sound every time one came) before she finally started labor when I was asleep. She came and got me because she didn't wanted to be alone. She also didn't even allow me to leave the room, she would just walk after me, even if a kitten was only half born! The other lost her mucus plug 1 week prior to giving birth, so she got me up and excited for 7 days straight.

But most cats will become a little more restless a few days to a few hours  before. They will look for a spot to give birth in, some become extremely cuddly or some don't want you to touch them at all. Some also stop eating 24 hours before, but not all. Diarrhea or vomitting isn't odd either, but make sure it's because of labor and not illness. My other cats also often notice if one is about to go in labor. The entire household will act "differently" like it's in the air.

So just keep a good eye on her and make sure you got plenty of spots up for her to give birth in. She will pick a nice one that seems "safe" for her and settle at one point.

Good luck to you and your girl! I can't wait for the pictures =^^=

biancavd biancavd . Aww thank you, sounds like you've been there a few times, its a first and last for me lol,, it's all been quite confusing with myla, she showed all pregnancy signs at all the right times, but at around 7/8 weeks i started to realise that while she was noticeably bigger, she wasn't what you'd expect from a heavily pregnant cat, and also her nipples got bigger but only went pale pink (have got pinker now and milks came in) so I started to think either false pregnancy or small litter,, i started a thread asking advice and sarthur agreed could've been either,, but then a few days ago she started acting like she was in heat, very vocal, rolling around, rubbing on everything, even treading with her butt in the air! I thought that was it! Then sarthur said pregnancy hormones mimics heat hormones, then not soon after her milk came in and she started getting twitches down her back, which has now became more of a tightening and releasing kind of thing but not very strong or frequent, and i was advises that false pregnancy don't usually end in a false labour, so must just be a small litter, and she's hopefully in at least pre labour, so hear I am playing the waiting game which im sure you remember is absolutely nerve wracking to say the least lol but I know all the warning signs read everything Icould find, have everything iI could need ready to go, vets number at the ready, just need to wait, wait, wait lol thank you so much for sharing your experiences xxxx

I have had 5 litters and the 6th is on the way. I am an official registered cat breeder, I breed Siberian Cats :) So yeah, I have seen a few :D I also heard stories from my friend breeders and I have been with one of their cats giving birth to assist 2 days ago. It's always a miracle and a true wonder to see.

Hormones really fool the best of us. I have seen breeders active many years go to the vet thinking their girl is past day 70, and it turned out she wasn't even pregnant to begin with. That's how weird hormones can be.

You can try placing your hand on her belly and just feel gently. Even if it's just 1 kitten, you might feel it kick if it's there. It's worth a shot. I wish you luck waiting, time will tell if she's really pregnant or not. Keep us posted ^^

biancavd biancavd Wow I love Siamese their just so gorgeous especially as kittens,, couple of weeks ago im sure I felt movement, and now I can still feel like a mass, maybe two, n any movement from them has been very subtle defo felt like I could feel the outline of a lil arm or leg then it moved away,, but I think I keep second guessing myself because its been so back and forth between her being pregnant and possible false pregnancy,, so when i have felt something I'm like.... Did I feel that or am I imagining it lol, but like I said movement or not I still feel a couple of definite masses,,, can cats have braxton hicks,,, starting to think she's just been in pre labour, still eating and sleeping, restless when she's not sleeping but nothing to suggest she'll b in labour today xxxxx
