Cloe has no voice!

My baby has not really felt well for 2 days now, she started off just kinda gagging, but never really threw up.a little spit but that's it. Just seemed nauseated. She didn't eat or drink or use the litter box. So the next day she started out better wanting her treats and did eat a little bit. But later she went to hide and laydown in the very back of the closet in our spare bedroom, stayed several hours. So I called the vet and they basically told me if she wasn't better by the next day to bring her in. So she's been eating and drinking normally and using the box, but when she tries to meow, she has no voice? What's your opinion?

I would opt for the vet exam asap. 

I was trying to wait and see if she got her voice back in a couple days, bc other than that she seems to be fine. Eating good, drinking, begging for snacks every five minutes lol
