Hello,

My kitten has an on and off limp for about a month. When she is sitting on her back legs she always keeps her paw up and it's almost always having muscle spasms, like a twitch. She lets me touch her, doesn't seem to be in pain, she jumps around and plays like usual. We did xrays to multiple vets but they said everything looks fine. One vet thinks it is about the ligaments not growing as fast as the bones, so he gave me supplements and one breeder told me that it is probably early osteochondrodysplasia -disease specific to scottish fold (cartilage problems) and I don't know what to think. Also one vet told me that he has only seen this kind of plantigrade paw in dogs. Has anyone seen this, any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

Well, I would say that if this is something that is specific to Scottish Folds, and that's what your little one is, that might be your answer.  Did that breeder who told you about the  osteochondrodysplasia tell you any more about it?  Did you run THAT past your Vet?  For example, is there anything that can be done to help it?

This is exactly what is happening with our 10 months old highland fold boy. We took him to a vet who took an x-ray and blood work but everything looked completely normal. Do you have any update on what happened to your girl?
