There is a chance I may have a problem in the future and would like to nip it in the bud.
I have two 1 year old female cats. Two weeks ago I got a male kitten, now 10 weeks old. They are mixing well, all the hissing and spitting is over. They all have the run of the house, eat, sleep and play together.
In the last couple of days, the kitten is trying to be boss. He muscles his way into their food dish, takes whatever toys they are playing with, runs up to their faces as if trying to be intimidating. As both the girls are gentle natured they back off every time. I now pick him up and put him on a different room but I realise that the girls should be teaching him his correct behaviour and I doubt they will.
I don't want this to escalate and become a problem. Has anyone any advice please.

I wish I had answers for you.  Perhaps the girls need to bop him on his noggin and put him in his place.

That's kind of what happened with Simon and Chestnut.

Don't go by me though, I'm no expert.

Yes I wish they would. Perhaps I need to send them for boxing lessons.

LOL - that's funny.

One day I saw Simon run past me to the bathroom but hubby was showering so he got cornered in by Chess who I never saw move faster than a steady trot, and she sad right on his bum and he looked at me with big green eye's looking like "HELP" - lol

I let them be for about 30 seconds and then he rarely swatted her again.

He didn't really fight with her, I think mostly he'd lost that instinct,  but he'd take his paw and smack her forehead.  Similar to the way, (Seinfeld reference) Elaine would smack George in the forehead, just to humiliate but not hurt. LOL
