Anyone ever use this, and if so...how did it work...how long did it take until you saw the effects and why did your vet recommend it as it is prescription food. thanks

Do you know what the ingredients are?

That would help a lot...

Unless I am mistaken, the only calming ingredient is tryptophan.. the substance in turkey which makes you sleepy....

I think using Rescue Remedy or Feliway or even calming treats, like Composure would get the same results...Just my uneducated opinion..

This is what I was told ................Contains a hydrolyzed milk protein and tryptophan (anaminoacid) to help maintain emotional balance of the cat

Used it a few times for our cat who we believed was ferrel and angry with the world. Didn't notice any calming happening, although almost two years later she has mellowed out on her own and is a sweet lap cat.

Doesn't make a hyper cat calm. It's more about calming anxiety so to speak

I think you can get the same results with the stuff I mentioned and would probably be a bit cheaper in the long run...

Royal Canin does have a lot of 'fillers' in it also..

Try the Rescue Remedy, in either her water or her food, and run a Feliway air plug in... and if needed get some Composure treats...
