Hey, so my dear cats have ear mites, mostly Milo. We don't have the money to get them to a vet right now, especially since we had to take our kitten there for shots, and I don't have a job (or license) yet. My sister said she'd get some mite treatment, but in the mean time, I'm just wondering what I can do for now. Would a bath help drown the mites and get some off? I always try my best not to get water in the ears since I know they like moist environments. That's pretty much all I can think of to do right now. I'm constantly vacuuming and washing my sheets just so they don't get to me! I already get insects in my room, the last things I need are parasites! Please help~ :'(

Hmm upon further inspection, I got to see a few better and I'm wondering now if they are mites or fleas... they look like little black rice and I find them on other parts of Milo's body. Plus, every time he gets up, I see tiny black specks that are most likely bug poo.... I don't know, any help?

Those would be fleas.  Mites are generally not visible to the naked eye.  To confirm fleas, put kitty on a piece of white paper and rub vigorously.  Place a drop or two of water on those tiny black comma shaped specks and if they turn red you have flea dirt and fleas.  Bathing with Dawn will kill the fleas as will some flea meds.  I use Actyvil on my adult cats and bathing for my tiny foster kittens.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't even know to put water on them before, and they are indeed fleas. I'm guessing he just got some in his ears or has simple wax buildup, because he is still shaking his head and scratching. His ears don't smell either so I don't know. But I have used blue Dawn soap before, so I'll get some of that and medication. Thanks for the help! :D
