Cat eye

Hi everyone,

i have a small problem i cant figure out.

My cat sometimes shows her white third eyelid for a few minutes and then it goes back to normal, it does not stay up but i notice now and then it happens like maybe twice a month or something for a few minutes..shes eating and playing and going to the potty as normal, i have been washing her eyes out with a cotton ball and warm water morning and night and also i changed my washing detergent to hypo allergenic so that doesnt irritate it..anyone else experience this? could it be dust or what could it be? is this normal?

Your cat needs to be seen by a vet. I would call them this morning and see if you can get him in. 

It's possible he has an eye injury, so stop rubbing his eye, as you could be doing harm to him unintentionally. It's also possible he has an infection. These are the reasons the third eyelid shows. All of them require a vet exam.
