He is almost 4 months old, he only eats wet kitten food.

He doesn't eat dry food, he doesn't eat raw or cooked meats, or bones, or anything...even with the wet food he is hesitant because clearly he doesn't like it. I've tried many brands but to be honest I cannot afford Royal Canin in the long run cause it's just toooo expensive here, 80 grams cost 2 dollars and he eats 3x 80 grams a day (he only eats Royal Canon wet food, and most of the time doesn't eat much). He doesn't even eat canned tuna...I want him to go on a raw diet because it is healthy and perfectly affordable, but he doesn't eat chicken, or beef, or fish, or turkey, or goat...these are the meats I've tried with him. When they are raw he sniffs a bit near the meat, when cooked he doesn't even look at it.

If he stops eating the wet Royal Canin he is going to starve. He is being way too picky, a cat that doesn't eat meat...unbelievable lol. Any idea how I can discipline him and teach him to eat properly?

Mine didn't like many food at that age. I continued to introduce new food to her regular. I would watch out for cat food sales and buy big for her to try.

I brought a bit of nearly every brand on the market.

In the end i found a food she loves. I would put the food down and leave it there until the next meal. She had food liked to eat but it wasn't a full meal and half a can of a new food.  She would eat it because she was hungry. There was allot of waste but she now will eat most foods i put in front of her.

Find a pet store that will accept the food (dry) back and refund your money if the cat doesn't like it at any stage.  Most of the major pet food brands warranty there pet food.

Like my grandmother used to say....."They won't starve, they'll eat when they're hungry enough!"....If your cat just won't eat canned, there are some very good dry foods out there now that have no grain, it might be worth trying. I have a sixteen year old that has NEVER liked canned food, only things like tuna and Whiska's perfectly chicken in the pouch. He is not overweight, and drinks plenty of water, so I give him what he wants. Good luck, and keep us posted on what you find!

He needs to go to the vet, ASAP. Not eating is a sign your cat doesn't feel well and something is wrong. Contrary to popular belief, cats WILL starve themselves and "picky" or "finicky" eaters are often sick, not simply being difficult. Please get him to a vet.

I agree with missmimz: a small kitten should be hungry and eager to eat so this isn't a matter of discipline. Even more important, a kitten needs a lot of food to grow and develop properly.

Sniffing then walking away from food can be a sign of nausea (as can lip licking) so I'd definitely consider a visit to the vet to be sure there's not something else going on.
