Hi everyone, I adopted a kitten about three weeks ago, he had aneye enucleation at the rescue shelter due to what they diagnosed as a corneal ulcer, since then he has been checked out by my vet and treated with clavomax to kill any underlying infection and is on lysine supplements to help build up his immune system. He also has a bactine cream which the shelter was rubbing on the incision twice a day. The vet advised me to stop applying it while he was on the clavomax which I did but started again on Sunday when the meds where done. The problem is that his eye still leaks, sometimes a small amount, sometimes more, when I first got him the leakage was a bit reddish with some blood maybe mixed in and his eye was red, his eye is no longer red but the leakage continues, mostly clear to white, rarely yellowish, this evening when I vame home it had leaked so much it was running down his cheek before I cleaned it. Is it normal for an enucleation to leak this long? Does anyone else have experience with this? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated...
