Okay so my cat just gave birth on the 22nd of August, she is roughly a year old and a first time mom VERY small and gave birth to a litter of 6 healthy kittens!
My first concern is that she has always been eating dry kitten food and after she gave birth she had no interest in eating she was so exhausted she just tended to her kittens and dozed off. The second day I couldn't get her to eat either so that same morning I went and bought wet canned food to tempt her into eating and it worked! Unfortunately I live in an insanely small town and cannot purchase wet kitten food because none of our "pet supplies" stores carry it (we only have Walmart kmart and tractor supply) so I got her adult cat food.
My other concern is that last night and this morning her kittens would start mewing and fussing trying to feed and my queen started meowing as well. She isn't the talkative type whatsoever and she has been keeping quiet a bit, is this normal? She also seems a little dehydrated so I gave her water in a syringe.
What can I do? Should I see a vet??

Wet adult food is fine if that is what you have. Some like friskies is branded as all life stages. That is what I fed my  queen. She will talk to the kittens by meowing, chirping and thrilling. It's amazing to see how they interact with their babies. If you can find unflavored pedialyte that may help. You need to put the food and water close to her and the liter box with unclumping liter close by. The next week or so she will leave them very little.

Do you have pictures we love them here?

Thank you so much! I was a little worried, I have moved everything close by her and now that I watch them I can tell she's talking to them when one starts to stray. I also got her KMR can I give it to her just in a bowl alongside her water?
In the picture you can hardly see the black and white one, he loves to cuddle on his mama Sushi!

Yes, give mom her KMR in a bowl next to her water. She really needs as much wet food as she wants now for nursing. You can still leave dry food out too. She wasn't hungry because she ate all the placentas as her kittens were born. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
