have you had your cat checked by the vet recently for kidney disease and diabetes?  our cat started drinking more water, and it turned out he has kidney disease.

Not necessarily worried, but I would definitely get her checked.  Any time there is a change in habits like this, it's time for a check-up.

Cats with increase in drinking water can mean many things:

1. Thirst due to excessive heat. I'm in an area where we've had a heat wave and drought.  Lots of thirsty animals here.

2. Diabetes or Kidney problems developing.

Always good to get to the vet and have a blood pannel run.

May be nothing, but will give you peace of mind :)

It was in the 90s with high humidity, but she does live in AC indoors, but she eats more in winter also like an outdoor cat would, she is a former feral!
