I got a kitten from the pound about a week ago, they said she was 8 weeks but I don't think so. She can fit in my hand, we've been feeding her food with milk to soften it and she ate it the first few days. Today she just rapidly got sick and she won't move or eat and she's bleeding from her bum. We tried the thing where you wipe her ureatha to see if she'd pee but she's been using the bathroom fine. Please help, we can't afford a vet bill right now we're too broke and no one around will help.

First the milk you are giving her is it's cow's milk or kitten milk replacer? If it's cow's milk please stop immediately. It will cause diaherra and can be fatal to one so small. Second get her some honey and rub on her gums that will liven her up a bit. Get some wet food and fed her. Also some kmr or goats milk. She really needs to be seen. Is there anyone you can borrow the money from?
As for the size if she was abandoned early she may be small. I have a ten week old that is 1 1/2 pounds.

thank you for your help but she just passed away
it was cows milk so I suppose that's what it was, I wish I had known that.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please don't blame yourself if she was bleeding from her bum she could have also had some parasite that caused it. Especially being in a shelter. Maybe there will be someone come along that knows more than me that can give you answers.

I am SO sorry for your loss!! I would contact the shelter asap---kitties are not supposed to be adopted out if they are ill or under age.
