hi my name is steve, me and my gf rescued a cat from the shelter and hes about 3-4 months old so they told us. hes really tiny only about 4-1/2 pounds, he came home with kettle cough and we have been giving him medicine for about two weeks now, now he is so much better playing, and loving, and is a big people person, however during the time he was sick he never ate anything, and barely drank water, the vet said because his sinus infection he will most likely not eat. now that he is better ive caught him a couple times eat dry, but like mayby a few pieces like a Little amount. he wont touch any wet food at all. ive tried over 20 different kinds and brands, tried putting tuna juice and other things to temp him to eat. after 3 days of me watching him when he was better and he still not eating i became super worried. i got cat formula for him to get something in his stomach and he loves it, I mean LOVES IT... and wants alot of it. he wont drink it from a pan or bowl at all, he will only drink it in a bottle. or from a seringe. im very worried about him and the vets dont help. i dont know what to do i cant feed a 4 month old kitten formula forever.

Hmm since he loves the formula so much do you think mixing it in wet food would help entice him? I'm sorry I don't have much advice outside of that but I hope someone here can help to get your boy to eat something.

agree with mixing a little wet canned food with the formula, not by leaving lumps but blending it in.  maybe try chicken or beef if fish doesn't tempt.  that's what i did when raised two ferals found at birth to cathood.

You can also try infant rice cearal with the milk that is usually what I've transition my bottle babies too before wet food. If that works soak the dry food with the milk start with small at of dry at first mostly milk once he eats that for a few days add more till you are on either the wet or dry whichever you r going to feed. What kitten brand of food are you feeding I have found Iams kitten to be too rich for most kittens and they don't eat it. Good luck keep us posted

Have you tried offering 1stage baby food?  The chicken and beef are just meat and broth.  Be sure it has no spices.

Are you offering dry food at all?  You can make a mush of dry food and formula and offer that, or wet food and formula (use pate style).  Start out with more formula than food and gradually add more food to it as the week goes on.
