Willow just turned 1 yr old on Aug 11th 2016! I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. I did rescue her from a meth heads apartment in which he was getting evicted. And he was coming back for crappy/holey mattresses but was leaving behind the mom, dad 4 baby girls and one little boy. I was able to find homes for all the female babies and that includes her. He came back for the mom, dad and male kitty. Wasn't happy about that.

But Willow and I have been through a lot . She came to me with severe fleas and tapeworms. Got rid of those. But I did notice her eyes were very watery and she was wheezing very badly. So back to the vet we went. She had a bad upper respiratory infection. Took 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. Then came the big one. She had ringworm which I got it! I had 3 different spots. But again we were back to the vet and I was at the DR and we both got better.

And we have been through all that. Got her spayed and declawed. I know that most wont agree with that. Sorry. But that is my personal choice. She is a very frisky torti and I would have no leather on my couch and many other things. She had no interest in using a scratching post. Not as much as I like. She was a climber!! And as soon as she could figure it out. She is a GREAT leaper..LOL. She can leap to land on me from a pretty good distance. It is like she isn't moving....just like a spring has popped up and there she is!  She may not have claws but I will tell you what she makes up for it with her teeth!! She can pick up a toothpick flosser that is very flat, very quick and take off with it. That and she loves my straws in my tea!! She is into everything. She wants in the cabinets to lay down and there is chemicals in there so I had to child proof the doors. LOL. So she still tries to get in there and now wants in the bathroom under the sink. Loves to lay on my kitchen counter as if it her bed....nooooo....lol.

But I have posted on here about another cat I have.Athena she is a Calico Manx.  Oct 1, 2016 she will be 16 and pretty sure by now she is in Stage 4 of kidney failure. When I got Willow I did not know that she was dying. I found out shortly after when taking her in to get her teeth cleaned. They ran the blood work and didn't clean her teeth and called me in to tell me that she was Stage 2b Kidney failure. I think I hit all 5 stages as if I was told this. Anger, Denial...etc. I don't think I have gotten to the Acceptance part nor will I . Of course Willow wants to play with her and she is just too old and not feeling well to have any of that. But for a year now Willow keeps trying. The Vet said that I would know when it would be Athenas time....but I feel like i will be selfish and not know.

Anyways!!!! I just wanted to show you how this cute little kitten Willow has grown up to be a beautiful cat. We celebrated her birthday and sang to her. She probably thought we were crazy. And got some new toys. Because she loves to play fetch with me!! And it was cool to get adult cat food. I came home and told her "Boo you got grown up food now!!!" "No more kitty food for you!!" She again looked at me like I was crazy. But I was excited for her. And just to see the changes with her. She had a lot of tan but that tan is turning more red now. She is simply beautiful. People keep saying if they didn't know better they would think Athena was her mom because of the coloring now!

But just wanted to share this story with you. And the small 1 yr milestone of my Willow with you. She is a joy to have around. But can be just like a 2 year old child getting into stuff. Forgot what it was like to have a youngin furbaby around. Very active and  mischievous. But she loves to be loved on. And only thing I don't get is that she is a total scaredy cat. At least when it comes to other people. She will hide in a hurry. And if I try and bring her out. She actually will shake and shiver and you can see her paws moving cause she is so afraid. Her heart is just racing! Don't know if it is because she just sees me and my fiance` all the time and no one else. But never had a cat do that before. Has anyone else? Suggestion or comments would be helpful of how to get her away from that. We just don't have people over.

Thanks for taking the time to read! Willow thanks you as well as she sleeps to get ready for a running spree shortly...hehehe
This was obviously when she was a kitten and the collar was way too big....LOL
Willow being cute!!
