Twice now for little to no reason my cat (he's about 10 years old) has squirted some sort of poop on me. Though he's not actually having diarrhea as far as I can tell. He plays normally and is active with our other cat. Not much has changed about his appetite either. At least not that I've noticed. Both times it happened all I was doing was gently tapping him to get him to move off of me (he's big and was laying on me and I wanted him off) and he pooped out this liquid brown stuff. It happened once then about two weeks passed and it happened again. Then today I was gently trying to move him off of me (afraid he'd poop again so I wasn't even really grabbing him I was being very careful) and he legit pooped. It was hanging from him and he ran away and wouldn't let me get to him no matter what I did. He isn't being any more needy than he usually is (he's a huge lap cat and has been his whole life). The only real change in his behavior is that he's obsessed with attacking my head/hair when I lay down which he was never interested in before. This is a sign I should take him to the vet right? But I work and probably couldn't do it until friday even then money is going to be a small issue. I'm just wondering how worried I should be about this or if it's maybe an upset tummy. He's not vomiting, he's eating normally (like I said) and same level of energy as always so how concerned should I be?

He should definitely go to the vet for a check up. It could be his anal glands. In any case, the poor guy does not sound comfortable.

I'm not trying to argue but his behavior has 100% not changed other than his weird pooping. Like he acts exactly the same except the random poop that happens. I spend a lot of time with him I'd have noticed if he was being weird. I also think it could possibly be that for a few days I couldn't get them dry food and had to give them wet food and they haven't had wet food in a long time. The other cat handled it well but I think it may have upset his stomach? As of now I only have him on dry food and the poop problem seems to be a bit better. If it happens again before Friday I'm going to get him to the vet. He's not acting any different otherwise.

I'm not sure where your comment about 'not trying to argue' comes from @FredsterKitty, as talkingpeanut has responded kindly to your post,  their reply is quite brief and does not mention anything about changing behaviour or the other things you go on to talk about, they simply say that they think it would be wise to take your cat to a vet, and add thoughts that he might be in some discomfort.  I share talkingpeanut's thoughts about it possibly being your cat's anal gland, and if you can arrange a vet appointment for when you can manage this I think it would be good for your cat.   It is unusual for a cat to soil in this way which is why I think a trip to the vet would be good - even if it doesn't happen again.
