She will deliver the next kitten eventually. Could be hours or days. Just wait it out as long as she is not in distress. Sorry about the first kitten.

As said, as long she is ok and no visible troubles, be vigilant but you dont need to worry. Pauses shorter or longer are commen - even days.

How did the first kitten looked? visibly premature or seemed fully developed, rounded and hairy?

Good if you have a scale, so you can know at once how big the kittens is, and if they gain properly...

If a stillborn kitten is fully developed, you can try to revive it.  Warm it up, rub and massage it with a towel, try to get fluids from lungs and mouth if there seems to be any there...  No quaranties, but sometimes a seemingly stillborn kitten can be saved by vigorous action.

With piglets the farmers have as trick to submerge their body in warm water - as being too cold at birth is the single most important fault...

I tried to revive the kitten for 20 minutes it was a bit skinny but fully developed it was a beautiful smokey grey and white kitten im almost wondering if it suffocated in her canal because ahe was contracting and i had to leave home for a few hours and she waited for me to get back like as soon as i sat down she rolled over looked at me and started pushing

Sadly, it probably did pass in the birth canal from being in there so long.

Bring her downstairs with you. This time around it may go quicker.
