My two year old boy is finding it tough to breathe . . . We have taken him to multiple vets ( Though the best answer we received was that it could be a possible case of asthma . . . Which is clearly not the case )

It may not be deadly. But it certainly looks uncomfortable.

I would like to help my friend whatever the cost.

Please help. x

Have you considered a trachea wash to determine if there's anything lurking in his lungs or trachea?

I am sorry that your poor boy is having difficulty breathing.  What kind of testing have they done?  What made them draw the conclusion that it is asthma?  Have they tested him for heartworm?  I have heard that Heartworm can cause asthma like symptoms in cats as they do not get Heartworm like dogs do.  I really hope you can find some answers.  I am dealing with a kitty myself that has a mystery illness and it is not easy.

Have they checked for heartworms? Although it is rare for cats to have it, your story is the same as mine with my old dog. I kept taking him to vets, until 1 vet figures out he had heartworms. We spent over $3000 trying to save him, but he had been sick too long. If only a vet had talked to us about preventative medicine for heart worms. I give my cats Revolution, to prevent heartworms, fleas, ticks, ear mites, worms, etc.

I hope your kitty is ok. Best of luck!! I'll say a prayer for him.

Has he had an ultrasound of the heart? or an x-ray of the chest?

I would thing these things would be the first things recommended.

Have they put him on any medications? Can you follow up with an emergency Vet?? If he is having problems breathing, I would say it is an emergency and should be seen...

wishing you well....

If it is coughing, it could be a heart problem, and x-ray would diagnose it. Have you had him on steroids, those help with swelling, etc, or you might want to treat for asthma for a while to see if it helps. All the luck, and keep us posted on what you find!

Currently the three vets that I have called upon haven't done anything!

They gave him a couple of medications to try to solve it a few years ago . . . But, nothing.
