Hi there,
My little cat hasn't been herself since Thursday evening. She is eating but not nearly as much as she usually does. She is very lethargic and spends most of the day and night sleeping. She is only 2 and is normally very playful but isn't interested in playing at all.
When I got home yesterday at around 3pm her breakfast was sitting untouched. I phoned the vet and arranged to take her in, just as I hung up the phone she ate all of the food that I had laid out in the morning. I called back and the vet nurse said to keep an eye on her over the weekend. I regret not taking her in now as she has done nothing but sleep again today. Things were looking hopeful this morning, got my usual wake up call at 6am with a whack in the face by her paw and she ate her breakfast but then, straight back to sleep.
We've checked her gums and the scruff of her neck to see if she is dehydrated but that all seems fine, her eyes look a lot less bright than usual and her usually silky coat is a little dull although I suspect this is because she hasn't been grooming herself to her usual standards.
Sorry for the essay, I'm just looking for a little advice.
The vet is now unfortunately closed to phoning them isn't the answer for today :-S
Any help appreciated! x
