Hello, everyone!

I have been looking up some good quality cat food to two cats. One is a year old on the 22nd of this month and 4 months old. I want them to be on the same bag of food because we can afford two separate bags. So, I've been doing some research and can't decide whether to pick Orijen Cat & Kitten or Taste of the Wild.

So, I was wondering if any of your cats have been eating this food, or you know an even better food to get. It must be good quality because I want to prevent my male cat from getting bladder crystals.

I've used both brands. Orijen is better quailty, but my cats prefer taste of the wild; as does my wallet if you know what I mean lol. One of my cats cannot handle overly 'rich' foods. Orijen is too rich for her. I have a skinny old cat (13 years) who is on a food calorie supplement from my vet and she does best on very high protien foods (like orijen). Depends on your cat. What does your vet think? :-)

If you want to prevent bladder crystals (my only male gets urinary issues BAD) then please feed canned food only or at the vary lest, increase canned food. Cats have a low thirst drive as they evolved from desert animals, who normally don't drink straight water as they are suppose to get all of the water from their food. Best of luck! Hope I helped some.

Lol yes I understand the wallet issue. My mom and I and tight with money, so we want good quality, but also semi cheap. I haven't asked my vet, but I will ask for sure. My 4 months old needs shots, so I will ask when I get the shots.

My male, Sebastian gets dry in the morning and wet food at night.
Thanks you though!

Then I'd definitely go with taste of the wild. My cats liked all of their flavors, but prefer the river canyon one. There is a saying now that fish based foods are bad for cats, I think that is more anecdotal information than anything else. My vet agrees.

I give all but my boy 1/4 of a cup of dry food at night too. :-)

I shall speak to my vet about that. My cats are eating the Rachel Ray wet cat food. My Sebastian really likes the Ocean Fish Chicken Catciatore.
