I Hate Colds

This is the 3rd day of my suffering the full blown effects of my annual cold. I'm stuffed up and hot and woozy and miserable. I've been taking cold medication and drinking tons of water. I couldn't volunteer with my rescue today because I didn't want to infect anyone else.

I have a cold as well, it sucks, if your nose is stuffy then I have a great suggestion, I don't like medicines that much, and I am reluctant to try most stuff, but my mom finally got me to try her saline nose rinse. It is made by NeilMed Products, INC. It is called Sinus Rinse, A complete Saline Nose Wash Kit. It comes in a box and has a easy squeeze bottle, and also comes with 50 packets of the saline powder. You just fill the bottle with warm water, put one packet of powder in and shake it til it dissolves. You then bend your head over the sink and put the top of the bottle in your nostril (it is large so it doesn't go up far, therefore doesn't cause harm) you squeeze the bottle until the solution comes out the other side, and do it again on the other side. I only have one passageway because of a surgery when I was 4, but it still worked fine with me, and I haven't been able to blow my nose it was so packed, but this worked. Just to warn you though, after I did it I blew my nose, I thought it was all out until I bent down to throw away the kleenexes and it came pouring out of my nose, it was hilarious! My mom purchased this at Kaiser for only 10 dollars, so maybe if you don't belong to kaiser you know someone that does?

Ugh!
I had a cold the entire week last week that became really bad on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I felt better on Sunday and I thought that was the end of that, right? WRONG! Yesterday I started feeling bad again - all headachy and it hurts to bend over or be in any position where my head is lower than the rest of my body. I'm really hoping to be back to full health soon!

Having colds really sucks! Hope you all get well soon and don't forget lots of bed rest and liquids (preferably fresh fruit juices and homemade soups!)

Yeah, colds stink. I hope you all are feeling better soon!

Im coming down with my 4th cold since october!!!.

I eat healthy, don't smoke, but theres so many people have it at the moment that its just going full circle!.

Touch wood, i don't feel ill with it!.

i'm on the verge of having a cold.. been really good girl and drinking more water and sleeping early...hopefully it goes away

Ugh you've got my sympathy! I'm dreading my next cold, because with the last two I've ended up in the hospital with bad shortness of breath and high "infection" values on blood tests (first time pneumonia, second time really bad bronchitis). So even though I know that now I've got asthma medication, it shouldn't get that bad, can't help dreading it anyway!
