I'm beyond knowing what to do! I always treat my cat with frontline and always have done so was shocked when her kittens got fleas at 2 weeks old. They weren't that bad so i combed regularly and rehomed them all with a pouch of frontline. Then on the last couple of weeks I have started getting bitten really badly. Told other half that it only seems to be in our bedroom and the rest of the house im safe which again didn't make sense as the cats don't go in my room and are locked in the living room at night. There's only me in the family (6 of us) getting bitten. Well for the past week I've been setting flea traps and the infestation seems to be right at the wall adjoining the neighbours house. The neighbours have 4 cats. She knows about our flea problem and keeps telling me she needs to treat her cats and that she generally does it every 12 weeks. It's kind of obvious now that the flea problem is coming from the neighbours buy haven't a clue how to stop them coming in. Told hubby we need to move our bed to the other side of the room but other than that I'm at my wits end with being bitten. What can I do? I'm 6 months pregnant and don't fancy filling the house with chemicals. I suggested to hubby locking the cats in our room at night as they are now treated with advocate but he doesn't fancy the litter tray in our room while I'm pregnant.

Get some food grade diotomaceous earth from a feed store and sprinkle it along the walls that adjoin your neighbor's house and work it into the cracks and carpets.  It is not poison but will wipe out fleas and roaches etc.  So a search for diotomaceous earth to find out more about it.

I agree with Red Top. Our neighbors had a flea infestation in their yard years ago, and they sprinkled diotomaceous earth in their and gave us their leftover bag for us to prevent them from jumping to our yard. It seemed to have worked very well. Amazon sells a 10 lbs. bag for just over $20 - HERE.

Absolutely use the FOOD GRADE one - it's safe for children and animals. I used to carry a small amount on me when I was traveling for work and sprinkled it on the mattresses of hotel rooms under the sheets just in case there were any bedbugs or fleas. Believe it or not, I've gotten terrible flea bites from a 5 star hotel.

I know that feeling. When I was a kid, I sometimes got bitten by flea when I went to visit my grandma who lived in countryside. I even was afraid of going to sleep because it was the time fleas started to "doing exercise".
Fortunately, it was not serious, I recovered quickly.

Thank you everyone, My DE arrived yesterday and I've laid it throughout my bedroom (the room the fleas are getting in)
I set my flea trap and was amazed that it only caught 8 fleas rather than the 40-50 I was getting on it per night. I haven't found a single flea on me or my bed today. Even if this DE doesn't clear them completely, I can cope with not getting bitten in bed.
