I cannot believe it I know dried is bad for cats and give as a supplement to have if not home.. Just found out that Orijen cat food is being made in Kentucky AND they have shrunk the bags from 5 lb to 4 lb and some stores are selling at the same 5 pound price??? AND it says on a PDF on the internet put out from Orijen to start your animals slowly on the food made in Kentucky????Why is that??? Is it different and not as good from canada???? Something is  a miss here.. Is it cheaper ingredients...Seems so... does anybody else out there know about this???? My cats were on California natural from Innova for ages until that company went under , Now whats this about...

All I know is with Orijen my girl gained so much weight.  It was dry and I can't remember which one.

We have a tiny 2 yr old cat witj a feline leukemia diagnosis as of this past week. She had always been very healthy, despite her small size. When our entire household of kitties {12} got URIs, she was the last one to catch it. Btw, all are strictly indoor. Rest had healed rapidly, but we decided to take her to vet when she wasn't healing. Blood work revealed the leukemia as well as the secondary URI infection. She's on a powerful antibiotic (Orbax) and we're having to give her some moist food with syringe. She much prefers dry, so we need to have one that's much more nutritious and safer than most on the shelves at grocery and big box stores. Read some very good reviews on Orijen dry and talked with Chewy.com rep who also highly recommended this food. With the TNR ones outside (13), we have a combined 25 to feed every day and I am disabled and hubby on retirement, so funds are limited. Oh, she wants food all the time, very hungry, absolutely no loss of appetite. We just haven't found anything she seems to want. Vet said that, because of her tiny size, her nasal passage is very tiny. Guessing that she can't discern the food smells and, since felines depend on their sense of smell so much, that's a real problem. If any one can help with this, I would so appreciate it. Not new to most problems with pets, since I groomed for 15 yrs and owned a pet sitting service for 8. Also had 2 other adullt kitties diagnosed with leukemia as well. Lost both this past year, but they had lived many yrs after diagnosed. Thanks again. Can't tell you how much I appreciate this site...
