I found a cat two weeks ago after she walked into a mcdonalds I was eating in (not joking) lol. Im quite sure she wasn't a street or feral cat. She looked healthy and wasn't afraid of people whats so ever. I literally walker up to her, picked her up and carried her home. She purred the entire way.

Im taking her to her first vet appointment next week but I have this odd feeling that she's pregnant. She hasn't been outside since I got her two and a half weeks ago, but she's starting to gain a lot of weight in her tummy area.

Im not sure exactly how pink her nipples are supposed to get to determine if she's ready to start producing milk, so here's a pic for some if you experts. I can upload more if necessary.

hello and welcome to TCS.

How kind of you to take her home.

My cats female and male both had really pink nipples.  I'm not sure how to tell.

I would imagine a visit to the vet would be best.

It's possible she's chipped and got out of her home, being you said shes very comfortable around people.  Just a thought

Or, she could have been dumped because she's pregnant.   Either way, a visit should be in her future.

How is she otherwise.  Eating, sleeping and litter habits.

Again, this news makes me happy, to think a kitty has found a home.  How lucky you both are.

Do you have a name for her and pic of her face?  We love pictures. LOL

I live in the Bronx, NY. She walked into a mcdonalds on a main street full of traffic. I thought she belonged to a store but I asked them all and they say they've never seen her around.

Some kids suggested that she came from a lot nearby that's full of freak cats, but I don't think so.

Her eating habits are good and she used a makeshift litterbox I made for her immediately, so she had good potty training. Her sleeping habits are about normal for a young cat. She sleeps at my side until 7am and gets up running around my apartment and chasing a toy I bought her. She's a good cat. I'll post pics when she's done eating her dinner.

Feral cats not freak cats lol. I Don't think she came from the lot of feral cats, because from what I know those feral cats are terrified of people are mostly active at night. She also looked very clean, not even dirt under her paws.

She could be pregnant I guess, but her nipples look perfectly normal. Cats only look for good people & I'm glad she picked you.

She doesn't look especially pregnant to me, and her nipples look normal. Only a vet can tell for sure. It was kind of you to take her in, and she will love you for it.

Have you taken her to the vet yet?
Nope. Its coming this Monday. I have to find a friend to drive me because I live in new York city and I wouldnt dare torture her by bringing her on the subway. The subway that came while I was carrying her home really frightened her because she seems to not like like noises.

You have to understand that what is a noise for us is greatly magnified for a cat.

Oh I know... Which is why I wouldn't subject her to a loud subway car.

She is not your cat until you have tried to find her home. Call some shelters around the area and post to a ssitelike craigslist or Facebook (on the lost and found section for your area). Taking a cat that does not belong to you without finding its home, or trying to, is illegal.

Secondly, none of us will know if the cat is pregnant. Only the vet would know.

01. I posted the missing cat ad twice on Craigslist 4 times, 2 of them within the first 48 hours of finding her.

02. If you read my first thread, I walked her around the neighborhood to see if any stores recognized whose cat it is because mostly cats who wonder around the streets either belong to a storefront or a restaurant... Mostly because unless a cat is feral around here, they aren't getting out of their homes because I don't live in an area that has residential houses. Seeing a cat wondering on a busy street where there are traintracks near is extremely unusual.

I follow two missing pets Instagram and Facebook's from my area and had her posted on both formats. No one claimed her.

I took her to the vet and she's not microchipped or fixed. She's a lot younger than what I thought she was because she's big for her age and she's not old enough yet to go into heat.

I got her De-wormed and she has an appointment to get fixed this upcoming Wednesday.
