What antibiotic is your cat on? One that the vet prescribed? Unless a vet has prescribed it, I would not use it as the wrong antibiotic may not work at all or cause bacteria resistance or may not even be appropriate for the condition your cat has.

A lump on the cheek can be anything: abscess, tumor, injury, bad teeth,, etc. Don't rely on the Internet to "diagnose" what the cheek problem is. Can you at least call the vet and explain the cheek problem? Are there any mobile vets in the area who could come to you?

If it is an abscess, it will burst and drain in a few days or a week, it's good you have her on an antibiotic to keep the infection from spreading. If she is eating good I would bet that is what it is, watch closely and see if it could be a tooth, that will need attention when the swelling goes down.  I know it will be tender, but it would be good if you can feel the area and see if it is a swelling on her cheek, or inside the mouth. Warm compresses feel good and will bring the abscess to a head quicker. I would suggest to always keep an over the counter antibiotic on hand for things like this, your vet should give you one next tine you are in. They are much cheaper than a vet visit and come in a powder form that you add water to so they last for years in that state. Ask them not to mix it, it is for emergency use to have on hand. I also agree with the above post, never give an antibiotic until you talk to your vet over the phone, they might change the dose, etc. All you can do now is wait. They get these from cat bites, so try to keep her away from other cats, especially while she is recuperating. Of course if she quits eating, bring her in right away. All the luck! PS if you caught it early enough the swelling will go down with no bursting, I always start an antibiotic on my old feral as soon as I see any swelling or limping.

Thank you, and No i haven't rang a vet yet!!! But I will tomorrow, the antibiotics I am giving her is flucloxacillin, which has powder inside the tablet, I have been sprinkling a quarter of the tablet on to her food, applying the powder morning and night, as well as Manuka oil applied by cotton bud onto her cheek, the lump feels hard, she will not let me into her mouth she is stand offish (so to speak), but she is eating very well.
