I discovered Weruva recently and have been super impressed with their foods. My guy LOVES the pouches but when I tried him on some of the cans, I was surprised by how different they looked (and so was he). One variety, the pumpkin and chicken, exists in both the pouches and cans but looks COMPLETELY different. Is it better to feed pouches versus cans or doesn't it matter? It seems to be more cost-effective to feed the cans but they have a lot more of that gel-like stuff in them which could just be making them seem more full.

Also, what's the difference between the pouches and cans? Is there any difference in nutrition?

Pumpkin Lickin' Chicken? That variety is only available as the Cats In The Kitchen pouch: http://weruva.com/catsitk-pumpkin-lickin-chicken.php

This explains the difference between the Weruva lines (not including Soulistic): http://weruva.com/cat-cuisine.php

Soulistic, also made my Weruva, is the lesser expensive version of the Weruva foods and more widely avaiable (Petco instead of independent stores). Soulistic does have a pumpkin and chicken canned variety, Harvest Sunrise, and one chicken in pumpkin soup pouch, Autumn Bounty.

Some of the Weruva varieties are also available in Soulistic, just under a different name and maybe a very minor difference in ingredients.

It doesn't matter if you feed pouches or cans. Buy whichever costs less and feel free to mix it up every so often. The jelly stuff is the thickening agent (tapioca starch) for the gravy.
