Either a play in a theater or a Boston Pops concert
Or one of the free (and less crowded) summer concerts put on by another local orchestra group.
very nice!
those are very lovely, the small summer concerts by local orchestra groups -- like the Concert in the Park, kind of thing.

Movie most definitely. I don't find plays exciting... and we don't have concerts around here.

A play, for sure. I go to all the high school and community plays that I can, and if a professional touring company is playing in Sioux Falls or Sioux City I'll go to that too. I don't like concerts and I rarely go to movies in a theater---I prefer to watch it on my own TV so I can pause it to go to the bathroom, and put the captions on (I always watch TV with captions).
very nice!
i agree, i prefer to watch movies at home too.

Definitely a play (or musical).  For some reason i like to be able to get up and move around during movies.  And concerts are usually too loud (although back in college I enjoyed them too) and crowded.
great choice!
yup, i enjoyed loud music when i was younger too. i never did enjoy crowds though.

I would have to say movie.I like seeing a movie in the theater but only if it's a REALLY good one (which means not most of the ones that that out these days), and I like to go when it's not crowded. There is a nice theater near us that has seating where you are high enough above the person in front of you if someone sits there, and the chairs lean back. I guess they're all like that now?

Have only been to one play in my life, and that was on Broadway, and it was awesome. But that was decades ago.

Also used to go to a lot of concerts and would probably like one now if it was not a crowded noisy one filled with pyrotechnics.

ahhhh, a really good movie...in a nice theater like you described!
i've heard there's one of those theaters in the Rochester (NY) area, but i've never been there. i'm too much of a 'home body' these days.
