Well so far she had them since 12-14 hours ago.. she had 3 total, she ate the cords and stuff and they are looking nice. but so far we have to force her into the box so she can feed them because she doesnt seem to want to, but when they start drinking her milk, which im asssuming is working since they look like they are being fed. after a while she gets up to get water then lays somewhere away from the babies is that normal? or is she supposed to stay near the kittens, cuz thats what im trying to keep her doing, food water and a little rest then back to feeding the kittens or being near them atleast.. also i was wondering if maybe she has another kitten unborn.. it doesnt seem like it since there is some flatness to her belly but there also seems to be a little swelling.. i read that is normal but im also scared it might be another baby or dead baby

Ok... Mama and kittens.

Is the box (nest) large enough for her to spread out comfortably? Where is it located?

Do you have her litter box, food and water close by so she stays near the kittens?

Do you have a small kitchen scale that weighs in ounces/grams? This will enable you to see if they are gaining adequately. It is highly recommended on this forum.

If the mama cat doesn't seem in distress or exhibiting any more signs of labor she is probably not going to deliver any more.

It is often suggested to have KMR (kitten meal replacer) on hand with small needle less syringes in case you need to assist in the feeding.
Also, giving the mama cat some will help her increased nutritional needs while she is nursing.

What are you feeding the mama cat?
Most recommend canned/wet food several times a day and dry food available at all times as well as water.

If mama is attentive and responsive to her kittens it's ok for her to take a break from them. If you think she isn't then it would be a good idea to confine her with the kittens.

There are some outstanding advisors on this thread that hopefully will stop in and offer more suggestions and help.

Welcome to TCS!

Like LotsoFur hinted at, she may want a better location.  Maybe where she is doesn't feel right or safe to her.  If there's a lot of noise or traffic nearby that could be a problem.

If you're really afraid she might have more kitties that she hasn't delivered yet, you could take her to the vet for an X-ray.  That would be one way to know for sure, but it isn't cheap.
