Also, as her life is in danger, and I presume, she doenst have strengh to take care of the kittens, you must probably prepare to do it.  Handraise them essentially.   Get home kmr or goats milk, bottle and or needleless syringe a scale, a heating source...  As heating source you can fill a socket with common rice, and warm it in micro - usually aobut 5minutes.  It helds warmth several hours...

Etc...

I think its a kitten whom got stuck in her pelvis and birthing canale. The kittens is probably dead now, but it should be still possible to save the momma by a cesarean (including spaying too, so part of the cost are saved - you should spay her anyways).

The other possibility is, the swellings are natural vomb swelling, but her paralyse is by a lacking of calcium in the blood.  Happens sometimes, and the symptome is a partial paralysis.   Here too she must get immediatley a calcium shot into her veins.

The lack of calcium is to great to make it good with home remedies as giving her egg shell crushed into fine powder perhaps with some plain full fat youghurt, or goats milk, or a little cheese, or

But its just an injection or two... Easily done by a vet.

Whichever it is, she needs to be immediately seen by the vet.

Please continue to report!

I agree you need to get her to a vet ASAP. Take the kittens with you. They must stay warm and they need to eat soon. Have they even nursed yet?

Please keep us posted on this situation.

Do you have kitten formula (KMR)? Mom needs to drink a bowl full right away! This is very important. She needs calcium.

Do you have an emergency vet nearby?

Is mom bleeding at all?

It's great that you're helping her, even if she's not your cat!

It would be best if you could have her spayed when this litter is weaned. If you tell us where you are located, we may be able to help you to find a low cost or free clinic for strays.

Can you keep mom inside until she is spayed? Having litter after litter is so hard on her.

I also agree that she needs to see a vet as soon as possible.

I realize she is a stray who has attached herself to you. Thank you for helping her out and letting her have her kittens in your home.

Go ahead and give her a bowl of infant formula.

Is she doing better now?

Can you post a picture of her stomach? It would help if we could see it.

Did you give her some formula yet?

If we hope its lack of calcium (there is a fancy name for it, I always forget it)   if you dont have formula or goats milk, you can use plain youghurt.  take full fat plain youghurt if you can choose.

Or better still, crush the shell of an egg into fine powder, and sprinkle it over her food. or give her to lick off your fingers, or give it with this youghurt...  shell of eggs is almost pure calcium...    There are also ready made calcium preparates, but this is the easiest way to get much calcium at once.

If its enough I dont know, a calcium injection is what is recommended in this situation, but if you dont have anything else so begin with this.

Also, these proposals arent harming, and may help to give her some extra strengh, so it really dont cost anything.

I myself use shellf from boiled eggs, but its perhaps possible to use raw eggs too?.   You dont need much, one egg gives enough powder for using at least one month in normal use for normal supplementing of a cat.

ps. I saw with formula you and SArthur mean baby formula, its not kitten formula  - yes it should go OK too.   Still, blend in this fine powder made of egg shells - lotsa of calcium...
