I adopted this beautiful Siamese Mix on June 29th, 2016 and he has been a treasure to love, care for, and live with.  There was not adjustment period.  He came out of the carrier, and made my home his.  He is affectionate, and playful after he recovered from a serous viral infection that they did not know he had when I adopted him.

I cannot believe how much I enjoy having him around.  He sleeps with me on my pillow, he follows me around, he tries to be close to  me wherever I am.  He has become so vocal now.  I know when he is hungry or wants to play.  Totally different sounds.  When I come home from work, he runs to the door and practically crushes into me.  He throws himself on my things as I take them off in my bedroom, and rubs his entire body on my handbag and backpack.  Then he claws his scratching posts frantically and jumps on the bed ready to play.

I work at night, so coming  home at midnight or after, and playing with him at 1:00AM in the morning, was something to get used to.  But when I am ready for bed, he quiets down, and sleeps on my pillow on top of my head and just cuddles into me.  He does not leave the bedroom unless I do.

He lays on my computer desk as I work at the computer, so I had to put a rug on the desk which is in my avatar so he can lay out and relax.  He has cat boxes and cat tunnels, and a nice water fountain which he drinks out of.

He does not like to play too much with toys, but will run through his tunnels and boxes with his ears back and then looks to attack me as he jumps out of the tunnel to grab my legs.  I laugh - so precious.

I am so happy for this forum.  There are so many little things I want to learn, but I am luck to have a wonderful vet 3 blocks from me if I need her assistance.  I take better care of him, than of myself.

Love to all

Joyce

Hi jkuras and sushi, welcome to the Catsite :wavey:
Sushi is such a handsome boy [emoji]10084[/emoji]️
You are really fortunate to have adopted sushi with such good temperament. Already he has made himself at home on the 1st day and is so attached and obedient to you. We are so happy for you.
Please show us more of his photos soon.

HI, here are some of my favorites.

Out cold on my Couch.  If I go over and pet him, he doesn't move.  Too precious.

Spread out on my bed when I was getting dressed talking to him.

He lays by me wherever I am.  Sleeps everywhere, even flat out on the floor.

I love seeing that he is comfortable in his new home.

Goodness he's a cutie.  Nothing like a kitty belly to melt the heart.  His coloring is gorgeous.  I'm so happy for you both.  I look forward to seeing more pictures. haha

Yes Joyce,
Sushi is real comfortable at home with you. Otherwise she won't expose her belly [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Wow, if my cat gained more weight, he would look just like that.  I love seeing our pets happy and comfortable.  I hope Sushi puts on more weight as he is still a bit too thin.  The coloring is almost the same but Sushi is not full Siamese so of course, he does not have a smooth coloring like Tiki.  What a lovely cat.

Hi Joyce,
Sushi is still a kitten. Feed him as much as he can eat as well as his kidney can take it. Growing kittens need to eat more and they need proteins to grow. Monitor how much he eats and you can feed him a few times a day provided he eats. Eating varies from cats to cats. Some eat more and some less and so you have to know your cat well. Feed as much as he can eat but not to the extend of making him overweight.

Hi, I do,  I monitor him but I work, so he gets proportioned wet food.  I can in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon.  I leave his dry food out fresh and he also eats that.  He is slender but thank goodness I don't feel his bones anymore.
